When implementing any enterprise-class business application, like ERP, CRM, WMS, etc., one of the most expensive line items are application integrations.  Integrations connect one piece of software to another.  Examples include:

• for a manufacturing company, integrating the bill-of-materials created in the CAD system to the ERP system for manufacturing execution.
• for a distribution company, integrating the pick-pack-ship functionality of WMS with a transportation rating application (e.g., UPS, FedEx, etc.).
• for a construction management company, integrating the project accounting module with a time & expense entry system.

This template, consisting of 3 areas, allows the organization to identify ALL integrations before the project starts.  Once integrations are identified, they can be adequately managed, budgeted and controlled.
